For the fourth time in the past three years, an Audi has captured the prestigious EyesOn Design Award at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
This time, the redesigned 2012 Audi A6 has earned the honor, taking home the “Best Production Car Design” Award and besting fellow finalists the Bentley Continental GT, BMW 6-Series Convertible, and Hyundai Veloster.
Checkered Flag Audi, a leading Audi dealer in Virginia, is proud to share this news, yet more high praise the Audi brand has received. Checkered Flag looks forward to the debut of the 2012 Audi A6, which is expected to arrive at U.S. dealerships this fall.
What can customers expect when it arrives?
As the EyesOn Design Award suggests, the 2012 Audi A6 has been elegantly crafted. This attention to detail is quite evident in the A6’s exterior design, which will feature stylish, sweeping curves, an aggressive-looking front fascia and a roomy interior that envelops driver and passengers alike in true luxury. Within that space drivers will find layered-wood veneer, front seats with available ventilation and massage functions, and tasteful ambient lighting.
Included among the judges for the EyesOn Design Award were Willie G. Davidson, EVP and Chief Styling Officer of Harley Davidson, Tom Matano, Executive Director of Industrial Design at the Academy of Art University and Jack Telnack, former Global VP of Design at Ford Motor Company.
